PROLOGUE
Emmy
    I looked in the mirror.  I thought, "Not again, please, not again, not now."

    To my dread, my skin decided to turn a shimmering emerald color, scales popping out from underneath my skin and shielding my body.  My long, straight, golden-brown hair faded into white and the tips turned a soft dark green, curling at the ends.  The pupils of my green-gold eyes shaped into vertical slits.  I glanced down at my shiny hands as they shrank, fingers lengthening.  I tried to shriek as my body started to fade into this awful creature.

    "Why is this happening now?!"  I screamed inside my head.  I thought my abilities were gone… No, they weren't gone, as I had previously thought.  They were still there, more powerful than ever, threatening to engulf me as they had once before.

    Here I am, Emmy, the last Enika left in the world.  Come and get me.
